Maternity Reflexology

 

Maternity Reflexology is a fantastic therapy that is safe, effective and deeply relaxing.  At a time in your life where you body undergoes radical changes both physiologically and emotionally, oh and let’s not forget the raging hormones!  Reflexology can help keep your mind and body balanced and will give you a little oasis of time just for yourself.  Regular reflexology in pregnancy can significantly decrease your labour time, with lots of women requesting less pain relief, research has shown.

 

Although this is a very safe therapy, if you have a history of miscarriage, premature labour, placenta previa (low lying placenta) or have encountered vaginal bleeding during your pregnancy, reflexology is not recommended and you should contact your GP or midwife regarding these problems.
